Starship Troopers: Extermination Best Class – All Classes Ranked

The first question you’ll be asking when dropping into Starship Troopers: Extermination is which class is the best to use. You have three classes to choose from, and they each revolve around playing a certain role that benefits your 16-player platoon. Some classes are better suited to thrive against the bugs, so we asked ourselves which class in Starship Troopers: Extermination is the best overall.

Bastion is the Best Class in Starship Troopers: Extermination

The best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination is Bastion. This is a heavy infantry that moves slowly compared to the Hunter and Support, but they more than make up for it in armor and pure firepower. There’s no other class that can stand their ground and eliminate the hordes of alien bugs coming their way.

    Bastion Class Default Loadout Overview

The Bastion’s special ability called “Siege Mode” lets players root down to the ground, which enables them to tank much more damage. Additionally, your gunshots are more stable, and you can reliably stall time for your teammates, which gives them a fighting chance even when you’re surrounded by Tiger Bugs. A big part of Starship Troopers: Extermination is base defense, and there’s no better unit that can protect the ARC core than the Bastion.

Starship Troopers: Extermination – All Classes Ranked from Best to Worst

Here are all three playable classes in Starship Troopers: Extermination, ranked from the strongest to the weakest:

    1. Bastion

Like we said, the Bastion is the best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination because of its sheer durability. This class’ special ability lets it mount and defend an area, which you’ll be doing a lot of in this game. With access to perk that makes them hard to kill and a lot of machine guns, expect a good Bastion player to thin out hordes.

    2. Hunter

The Hunter class can fly high and avoid danger when it comes near. In terms of the fastest movement, nobody can come close to this class, but it doesn’t quite have the durability. The good thing is that you can reach places no other class can reach with the Hunter, which is great for defending the base and when you’re overrun. Its access to a lot of firepower makes this a good class for aggressive players to pick.

    3. Operator

The Operator class is a crucial member of the team with the ability to revive instantly; however, they’re just so squishy that it doesn’t take much until they’re down easily, even on normal difficulties. They do make up for this by having a useful drone that lets them self-heal and the ability to carry around various utilities that provide all manner of support for their team, but they don’t have enough armor to really stand a fighting chance against the bugs.

This class also has a perk that’s a bit situational: it can carry extra canisters, which let you power up the base. However, this perk becomes useless after you’re done with that objective.

That’s our take on the best class in Starship Troopers: Extermination. Check out our other Starship Troopers: Extermination content for more.
