Monster Hunter Wilds is about to be released soon for the major consoles this month. With many shared pics made by Capcom, fans of the Monster Hunter series are getting pretty excited about what’s coming their way. Recently, Capcom has uploaded a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds on their official YouTube channel and it features a new map area for players to explore and hints of what monsters are there to hunt.

The new area that is presented in the new trailer is called Iceshard Cliffs. This icy tundra is where the snowy blizzards blow and hidden and dangerous creatures lurk from the shadows. In this area, there are a variety of unexpected areas where players will hunt monsters. From cliffs to caves and even on a spider’s nesting ground, the challenge will be difficult to overcome.

Monsters Found in the Iceshard Cliffs

Within the Iceshard Cliffs, some monsters will make their appearance known in Monster Hunter Wilds. Most of them have been given a new set of moves that are unpredictable and can cause major harm to one’s party. The monsters are the following:

    Hirabami – Leviathan

A species of leviathan that inhabits the Iceshard Cliffs. It has sharp claws on its tail and uses a wind-catching membrane on its neck that allows it to float.

    Nerscylla – Temnoceran

Nerscylla is a Temnoceran and defeats its prey with a single blow from its distinctive horn.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be out on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Via Steam. Pre-order the game and receive the Guild Knight Layered Armor Set and the Talisman Hope Charm as bonuses for pre-ordering ahead of the launch.
