Secretlab Tracer Edition TITAN Evo 2022 Series – Review

Overwatch is an exciting multiplayer shooter set in the not-too-distant future. Every match features a different team of six heroes, each with its own unique set of skills and abilities. The speedy and one-shot-focused hero Tracer excels in close-quarters combat. She can take off vital targets with minimal effort thanks to her agility and great single-target damage. With her abilities, Tracer can quickly move around the map, outflank her foes, deliver damage, and then escape before they can react.

It is not the first time that Secretlab has released limited-edition gaming chairs in collaboration with Blizzard. Secretlab has both the first official Overwatch and D.Va Edition gaming chairs initially released as OMEGA 2020 and TITAN 2020 models, and later on, revamped into the Secretlab 2022 Series.

With the upcoming launch of Overwatch 2 next week on October 4, 2022, Secretlab has once again partnered with Blizzard Entertainment and will be releasing the Secretlab Overwatch 2 Collection. This collection comes in 2 varieties, the Secretlab Tracer Edition and Genji Edition. This is a once-in-a-lifetime sitting experience designed to help all of the Overwatch fans and gamers out there maintain their peak level of performance.

While showing support for your favorite hero, you can relax in the unbelievable luxury of these chairs. We are happy to be given an opportunity to review the Secretlab Tracer Edition TITAN Evo 2022.

What’s in the Secretlab Tracer Edition TITAN Evo 2022 box?

    • Magnetic Memory Foam Head Pillow
    • Secretlab TITAN Evo Backrest
    • Secretlab TITAN Evo Seatbase
    • Secretlab PU Foam Armrest Tops (CloudSwap™ compatible)
    • Magnetic Side Covers
    • Multi-functional tilt mechanism
    • Class 4 hydraulic piston
    • Hydraulic sleeve
    • Height Adjustment Tilt Lever Handle
    • Tilt Lock Lever Handle
    • ADC12 Aluminum Wheel Base
    • PU Casters
    • Assembly guide
    • Assembly Toolkit
    • Long Allen Key
    • 4x M8 Screws
    • Magnetic Screwdriver Handle
    • Reversible Philips + Hex Screw Bit

Note: The Magnetic Memory Foam head pillow for this edition is just a generic black Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 version. Everything about the chair’s comfort and structure is the same as the other Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 models, you can read about it here in our Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 – Review. Although, I did notice about an inch difference on the lowest height configuration from the base Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 than on this model.

Upon opening the box, a bright orange assembly guide will greet your eyes instead of the usual black and white one that Secretlab includes on the other Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 models. The Assembly Guide design can alternatively be used as a poster as it has a full-body picture of Tracer, and her abilities plus weapon details in the fine print.

This newly released Secretlab Tracer Edition TITAN Evo 2022 gaming chair pays tribute to Tracer’s iconic look: the colors for Tracer’s Classic Skin being upholstered in NEO Hybrid Leatherette and having the unique honeycomb pattern inspired by Tracer’s Leggings adorn the side wings of the chair.

Tracer’s name devoid of all the vowels (TRCR) appears as a fractal embroidery of bright blue thread in front of the chair against the white leatherette foundation. The color accents complement the shades of orange and blue combination. You just have to be careful as these colors can easily get dirty, so definitely a no-no to dirty hands and other stains that might easily ruin the chair’s overall aesthetics.

But the Secretlab Tracer Edition TITAN Evo 2022’s focal point is at the back embroidered in stunning detail of what looks like a pulse bomb, aim circle bullseye-target hybrid merged with Tracer’s “Recall” ability design. The design is very eye-catching because not only does it pay homage to one of Tracer’s most loved skills. With her “Recall” ability when triggered, Tracer becomes invisible and immune to damage for the duration where she will rewind three seconds and return to a point in time, clear her debuffs and reload her gun, which most players use as an escape mechanism. This Blink Into Action design adorns the back in bright blue embroidery matched with gradient bright blue leatherette with a monochromatic finish.

Secretlab’s logo is also intricately embroidered both on the front and at the back of the chair in shiny white thread that allows it to pop out from the white base, and Overwatch 2’s logo is cleverly placed at the bottom right in a matching color, and the word Overwatch in the same placement where it appeared in the first official Overwatch Secretlab Chair.

The overall effect is sassy but classy, with exploding colors that can surely brighten up any room. Its lively, bold, and full of spirit design can appeal to both male and female gamers out there.

So sit comfortably in this amazing chair, I’m sure Tracer’s iconic butt will be pleased as you battle it out through the streets of New York, Rome, Monte Carlo, Toronto, and other world-famous cities while soaking in the stunning sights along the way when you play Overwatch 2 this October!

If you’re interested to get your hands on the Tracer and Genji Editions, be sure to check the Secretlab official website by clicking here.
